Consult a Healthcare Provider Before Making Health Decisions
Speak with a physician or other qualified healthcare provider before adding hydrogen water to your routine, changing your hydration or supplement regimen based on content found on this site, or making any medical decision. This is especially important if you:
- Have kidney disease, chronic kidney disease, or a history of kidney stones
- Are pregnant, nursing, or actively trying to conceive
- Are taking prescription medications with narrow therapeutic windows, including anticoagulants, thyroid medication, lithium, and chemotherapy
- Have a diagnosed chronic condition such as diabetes, autoimmune disease, or cardiovascular disease
- Are managing post-surgical recovery or any acute medical condition
Hydrogen Water Is Not an FDA-Approved Treatment
Hydrogen water is not approved by the FDA as a treatment, cure, or prevention for any medical condition. The peer-reviewed research on molecular hydrogen’s effects on human health is ongoing, and many findings remain preliminary. Content on this site that summarizes research on inflammation, oxidative stress, metabolic markers, or condition-specific outcomes reflects published research, not validated clinical practice.
Limits of Our Testing
Our testing protocol measures dissolved hydrogen concentration and checks for ozone and chlorine in output water. We do not measure biological absorption, health outcomes, or therapeutic efficacy. A device that performs well in our tests is not a substitute for medical care or professional advice.
Adverse Reactions
If you experience an adverse reaction after consuming hydrogen water — including but not limited to gastrointestinal distress, allergic reaction, headache, or dehydration — stop using the product and contact a medical provider. Device-related safety issues can be reported to the manufacturer directly and, for US residents, to the FDA through the MedWatch program.
Research Citations
Where we cite scientific studies, we link to PubMed or the primary journal source. The presence of a citation does not mean a finding applies universally, has been replicated in larger trials, or constitutes clinical guidance.

Medical Emergencies
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. In the United States, that is 911. Do not use this site for emergency medical guidance.
